Who are the people who welcome the sick in Lourdes at the train station or at the airport, who assist the pilgrims taking a bath in the spring of Lourdes and who arrange the different groups during the processions? They are members of the Hospi-talité Notre-Dame de Lourdes, an archconfraternity, whose pre-sentation is the objective of this book. Its origin and history, its function in Lourdes then and now as well as its spirituality will be presented in detail. At the same time the author reports the story of the apparitions of Our Lady to St Bernadette in 1858.
